The idea for New Ground came from an adventure to LA with two friends. It was my first time taking the train, and as soon as the train started up, I knew I had to make an album about it. The album follows what we did throughout our six hour journey.
Each of these things corresponds to the songs

We drove to the metro station (1) and got on a train. (2-4) We switched trains, (5,6) and then switched trains again. (7) We walked around the city for a while, (8) then waited for dinner for an hour, (9) and then finally ate dinner. (10) We then took a train to see some other place, and walked around some more. (11) Finally, we reversed our order to head home. (12) We drove back in the rain, (13) And after we got back, we talked for a while, and then left. (14)
